IS MILEY CYRUS A VIRGIN?

In a world of sex tapes and naked photos, Miley Cyrus is as pure as a fresh snowfall.
The allegedly racy photos of the young singer never depict her in anything less than underwear. That would be considered bundling up for truly promiscuous celebs such as Tila Tequila.
If Miley says she’s a virgin, I see no reason to disbelieve her. What proof does anyone have to the contrary? A Vanity Fair photo shoot featuring her covered by a sheet?
Please.
Aside from Cyrus’ word, let’s look at her schedule. She’s often on tour. She’s the star of her own TV show. When would Miley even have time to find a boyfriend and build up the sort of trust needed to allow him into her precious garden of love?
Miley Cyrus has given us such hit songs as “7 Things” and “See You Again.”
The least we can do in return is give her the benefit of the virginal doubt.
Miley Cyrus tops the charts ‘Breakout’ debuts at #1, selling 371,000 copies

The transition from “Hannah Montana” to Miley Cyrus at the top of the album sales chart has been completed.
Cyrus’ “Breakout” (Hollywood) not only debuted at No. 1, its first-week sales surpassed the tallies registered by the two “Hannah Montana” soundtracks, which also debuted at No. 1. The queen of tweens’ “Breakout” sold 371,000 copies in the week ended Sunday, according to Nielsen Soundscan data.
That first-week number bested the 326,000 of “Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus” last summer and the 261,000 for the first “Hannah Montana” in late 2006. The first one has sold 3.6 million copies; volume two has moved 3.1 million.
The “Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert” pic grossed $65 million during its theatrical release, which started in February.
At No. 2, Sugarland’s deluxe version of “Love on the Inside” (Mercury Nashville) sold 314,000 copies, registering the biggest sales week of the year for a country act. The duo’s 2006 release, “Enjoy the Ride,” peaked at No. 4 on sales of 211,000.
Release is a rare example of a deluxe edition preceding the release of a standard edition. Album with five fewer tracks went on sale Tuesday.
The “Mamma Mia!” soundtrack nearly doubled its sales for a second week in a row, moving 168,000 copies and staying put at No. 3.

‘Hannah Montana’ star avoids questions about controversial pics by skipping down red carpet.
In her first major public appearance since near-topless photos, which were shot for Vanity Fair, stirred considerable debate among fans, parents and celebs like Madonna and Hilary Duff, “Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus appeared Saturday night at the Disney Channel Games concert, held at Orlando, Florida’s Walt Disney World, and thanked her fans for their undying support.
“I hope you had an awesome time,” Cyrus was quoted as saying on People.com. The Disney moneymaker skipped her way down the event’s red carpet, seemingly to avoid questions about the photo scandal. “I saw a sign back there that said, ‘Miley, I’m praying for you.’ I could not be more appreciative. Thank you, guys, for all your support. Without you, none of this would be possible. I love every one of you, and I could not be more appreciative. God bless you.”
Cyrus’ set opened with “See You Again,” and later on, the star previewed two tracks — “Fly on the Wall” and “Breakout” — from her forthcoming, yet-untitled album, which hits stores July 22.
Other performers that took the stage Saturday included the Jonas Brothers, the Cheetah Girls and Jordan Pruitt.
But the fans weren’t the only ones backing Cyrus up. In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Cyrus’ “Hannah Montana” co-star Jason Earles said she’s taking last week’s controversy in stride. “She’s one of the strongest people I’ve ever met,” he told the paper. “She’ll do everything to make sure she does right by her fans. It will be all right. I know what kind of person she is. She has a great heart.”

That’s the question at the heart of l’affaire Miley Cyrus, a firestorm lit last week by a series of Vanity Fair photographs featuring the billion-dollar-baby flashing some skin.
On one hand: Before the pictures pinged around the globe, Cyrus expressed regret and embarrassment, and Disney insisted that the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star had been manipulated.
On the other: Widely viewed video of the shoot shows a cooperative Cyrus posing at length with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
Team Cyrus has moved on, returning to bubble-gum form to promote the Disney Channel Games in Orlando, including a concert Saturday. Miley didn’t refer to the photo flap from stage. But, the Associated Press reports, she saw a sign in the crowd that said, “Miley I’m praying for you.” She responded: “I can’t be more appreciative of that.”

Singer Mariah Carey is reported to have married actor Nick Cannon weeks after meeting him on the set of a video.
But there has been no confirmation from the pair’s representatives. US media have claimed the ceremony took place in secret in the Bahamas on Wednesday.
People.com and E! News quoted his family members and a local clergyman as saying the pair did tie the knot.
Cannon, 27, is said to have met the star while making the video for her new single Bye Bye at the end of March.

Carey and Cannon were seen together at the premiere of her film Tennessee at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York last weekend, with the singer sporting a diamond ring.
E! quoted a relative, Linda Cannon, as saying: “He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him.”
People.com quoted Bishop Clifford Petty of the National Church of God in the Caribbean as saying he presided over the wedding.
But some stories have questioned whether it is a publicity stunt for her new single, album and films.
Cannon has starred in the movies Day of the Dead, Drumline and Bobby and, according to his website, he will portray late tennis player Arthur Ashe in a forthcoming biopic.

Miley Cyrus may be skipping the red carpet at this weekend’s 2008 Disney Channel Games in Florida – “on the advice of her management team,” a source tells PEOPLE – but she’s keeping plenty busy anyway, hitting the rides, rehearsing for her upcoming performance, and meeting Sen. John Edwards and his family.
On Thursday, Cyrus and her brother Braison rode the rides at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. While in line for the Test Track ride, Cyrus ran into Edwards and his three children. (The senator’s youngest two children, Emma Claire and Jack, are Hannah Montana fans who were super eager to meet the star.)
“She chatted with them about all the rides and attractions they saw at Walt Disney World,” a source close to the singer tells PEOPLE. “It was a sweet moment.”
On Friday, Cyrus will continue her rehearsals and has some work to do before production begins on the Hannah Montana feature film next week. The singer is also working on her role in Bolt – an animated film to which she lends her voice.
Before Saturday’s performance, Cyrus was scheduled to appear at a red carpet event and media party Friday to kick off the games, the Associated Press reports. A source close to Cyrus tells PEOPLE: “Miley was invited but she is focusing on her rehearsals and preparing for her show tomorrow. She’s happy to be here.”
Also, in light of the recent Vanity Fair photo flap, a Disney Channel source adds: “She was invited to the media party but understandably, is not attending on the advice of her management team.

Teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus, also known as Hannah Montana from Disney Channel’s wildly popular series with the same name, is so rich she could retire right now and live the rest of her life with the money she made so far.
According to People magazine, the 15-year-old singer/actress, who is already richer than her father, country music singer Billy Ray Cyrus, will likely become a billionaire by the end of the year.
Topping the magazine’s list of the richest teen celebrities, Miley took home approximately $17 million last year alone from her sold-out tours, about $1 million a week from the estimated $50 million in tour grosses. Her 3-D concert film “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour” comprising concert footage and behind-the-scene clips from the tour, raked in $29 million from tickets sold during its release weekend.
“Kids are earning more and more and can command huge fees in Hollywood, but no one could have predicted how popular Miley would be. She’s a true star,” a Disney spokesman said.
However, despite her fortune, Miley still gets a $300 monthly allowance from her dad, while her mother Trish insisted that she refused to let her daughter’s fortune go to her head.
“A lot goes into her (investment fund), which she can’t get until she’s 18,” Trish told People. “At the end of the day she doesn’t have much left.”

Miley Cyrus posed at the Walt Disney World resort in Florida, this time dressed. She apparently reverted back to the squeaky-clean mode after Disney, her dad and she realized that the topless underage photo shoot for Vanity Fair is bound to hurt the business, and that can’t be allowed to happen. After all, it’s tens of millions at stake, maybe more. Cyrus posed outside the Magic Kingdom with Mickey and Minnie Mouse and signed autographs.
Rumors suggesting Disney might want to cease the collaboration with 15-year-old Cyrus following the Vanity Fair scandal, were shattered, as the young star is supposed to perform in a special concert at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando on Saturday, E! reports.
Also, Disney spokeswoman Brenda Kelly Grant told E! that nothing had changed on their production.
Not only she posed in a sexy posture in the Annie Leibovitz photoshoot, showing the young star barely covered by a sheet, back bared and displaying a seductive look, the photos with her on her father’s knee were also disturbing to most people. “This picture disturbs me. It looks like his daughter is his girlfriend. He’s trying to be hot,” radio host Howard Stern said on his show.
It is also obvious, as a WSJ article titled “The Miley Cyrus Uproar” remarks, that only a fool would believe the apologies of the adults involved in the photo shoot, including Annie Leibovitz. It’s clear as daylight that she intentionally made Miley take a sexy pose, and everybody there understood that the 15-year-old was being turned into a sex symbol: “It is a blatant bedroom shot,” says The Times’ Janice Turner.
